Cook mode: one step at a time, with timers built in

Heated's cook mode shows one large step at a time and turns the times in a recipe into timers you start with a tap, with an alarm when they finish.

Cooking from a phone usually means floury fingers on a small screen, scrolling past a photo to find the step you were on. Heated's cook mode is built for the moment you are actually at the stove.

One step at a time

Open any recipe and tap Start cooking mode. Heated shows the current step in large type, with buttons to go to the next or previous step. You always know where you are, and nothing else on the page competes for your attention.

Timers from the recipe

When a step says "simmer for 20 minutes", cook mode picks up that time. It appears under Times in this step and you start it with one tap. You can run more than one timer: the sauce and the pasta water don't have to share.

Need a time the recipe doesn't mention? Set a custom timer in hours and minutes.

An alarm you notice

When a timer finishes, Heated sounds an alarm and shows a message until you stop it. Pause or reset a timer at any point if things in the pan move faster or slower than planned.

Made for a busy kitchen

  • Large, readable text you can see from a step away.
  • Clear next and back buttons instead of scrolling.
  • Leaving cook mode asks first, so a stray tap doesn't throw you out mid-recipe.

Try it

Good recipes to start with: a classic spaghetti carbonara, where timing matters, or a Kaiserschmarrn for something sweet. Open the recipe, start cook mode and let the timers keep track.

Cook mode works in the browser and in the Heated apps, signed in or not.
