How to use Heated in ChatGPT and Claude

Connect Heated to ChatGPT or Claude and let your assistant find recipes, plan your week and fill your shopping list, right on your Heated account.

AI assistants are good at ideas: "something with chickpeas", "a quick dinner for four". What they could not do until now is act on your own kitchen. With the Heated connector they can. Your assistant searches Heated's recipes, saves the ones you like to your cookbook, puts meals on your planner and adds ingredients to your shopping list.

What the connector is

Heated runs an MCP server. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants use tools from other apps. You add Heated once as a connector, sign in with your Heated account, and from then on the assistant can use Heated when it helps.

Everything happens on your real account. If ChatGPT adds tomatoes to your list, they are on the list when you open the Heated app in the supermarket.

Connect Claude

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
Choose Add custom connector, name it Heated and paste this URL: https://api.heatedkitchen.com/mcp
Select Connect, sign in with your Heated account and allow access.
In a chat, turn on the Heated connector from the tools menu.

Custom connectors are available on Claude plans that support them, on the web and in the desktop app.

Connect ChatGPT

Custom connectors in ChatGPT currently need a Business or Enterprise workspace, or developer mode turned on in your settings.

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. If you don't see an option to create a connector, turn on developer mode under Advanced.
Create a connector named Heated with the same URL and choose OAuth for authentication.
Sign in with your Heated account and allow access.
Start a new chat and pick Heated from the tools menu.

The assistant decides which Heated tool to use. You will usually see it ask for permission before it changes something, depending on your chat app's settings.

Safety and control

You sign in on Heated's own page. ChatGPT and Claude never see your password.
The connector only reaches recipes, your cookbook, your shopping list and your meal plan.
Every change shows up in Heated right away, so you can check it, edit it or delete it.
You can disconnect at any time: in Heated under Settings, or by removing the connector in ChatGPT or Claude.
