MCP connector

Heated in ChatGPT and Claude

Heated has an MCP server, so AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude can work with your Heated account: find recipes, save them to your cookbook, add ingredients to your shopping list and plan your week.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use tools from other apps. With the Heated connector, your assistant can look things up and make changes in Heated for you, after you have signed in and allowed it.

Things you can ask

Find a vegetarian dinner on Heated that takes under 30 minutes.

Plan dinners for Monday to Friday with recipes from my Heated cookbook.

Add the ingredients for the bolognese to my shopping list.

Save this carbonara recipe to my Heated cookbook.

What is on my meal plan this week?

What is still on my shopping list?

  3. 3Select Connect and sign in with your Heated account.
  4. 4Allow access. In a chat, turn on the Heated connector and ask away.

ChatGPT

Custom connectors in ChatGPT currently need a Business or Enterprise workspace, or developer mode turned on.

  1. 1Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. If needed, turn on developer mode under Advanced.
  2. 2Create a new connector, name it Heated and paste the server URL. Choose OAuth for authentication.

Other MCP clients that support remote servers with OAuth sign-in can use the same URL.

What the connector can do

These are the actions the assistant can take in Heated. It picks them based on what you ask. None of them deletes anything.

get_recipe

Opens a recipe with ingredients, steps and times, scaled to the portions you want.

save_recipe_to_cookbook

Saves a recipe to your Heated cookbook.

add_recipe_to_shopping_list

You stay in control

The connector works on your account only after you sign in and allow it.

Sign-in on Heated

You sign in on Heated's own page. ChatGPT and Claude never see your password.

Only kitchen things

The connector reaches recipes, your cookbook, shopping list and meal plan. Not your password or payment details.

Every change is visible

Whatever the assistant adds shows up in Heated right away, so you can check it, edit it or remove it.

Disconnect anytime

Remove access in Heated under Settings, or remove the connector in your chat app. Either one ends the connection.
