Bring all your recipes into one place
Import recipes into Heated from a website link, a photo of a cookbook page, a PDF or a voice memo, and keep them together in your own cookbook.

Most of us keep recipes everywhere: bookmarks, screenshots, a stained card from a grandparent, a PDF from a cooking class. When it is time to cook, the one you want is never where you look.
Heated's recipe import gathers them into your cookbook, in the same clean format as every other recipe.
Ways to import
Open Create recipe and choose Import recipe. You can bring in a recipe from:
- A website. Paste the link to a recipe page.
- A photo or PDF. Snap a cookbook page or a handwritten card, or pick a PDF. A recipe that spans several pages can use up to three photos.
- A voice memo or text. Dictate a recipe or type it roughly, and Heated structures it into ingredients and steps.
- An audio file. Upload a recording of someone explaining a recipe.
- Instagram and TikTok (beta). Paste a link to a public post or video. If a post can't be read, import a screenshot instead.
Heated reads the source and fills in the recipe form for you: title, ingredients with amounts, and steps. Check it, adjust what you like, and save.
Why it is worth it
Once a recipe is in Heated, it works like every other recipe:
- add it to the meal planner,
- send its ingredients to your shopping list,
- cook it step by step with timers in cook mode,
- and share the cookbook it lives in with your household.
Keep it private or share it
Imported recipes are yours. Keep them private in your cookbook, or publish a recipe you created yourself so others can find it on Heated.
A good first import
Start with the recipe you cook most often but always have to look up. Once it is in Heated, it is a tap away in the planner and in cook mode.
